About Us

Welcome to ISOCigars.com

If you've ever gone the extra mile a couple dozen times to find a favorite cigar, you'll appreciate why we started this site.

We are cigar smokers and collectors. We know how great it is to get a deal on a box of favorites, and the thrill of finding something lots of people are looking for. My partner Jason owns a seasonal business that provides time for his journey's into the backwoods, metropolis's and everywhere in between, always ISO.

We were sitting back after a long and exhausting three day road trip. During that time we'd been to more than a dozen cigar shops and put on hundreds of miles on the car. We broke out a box of Anejo Sharks and a bottle of Woodford Resource bourbon and settled in for a well deserved rest with a couple old friends.

One of my buddies asked Jason how he could spend so much time on what seemed to him a fairly fruitless venture, scouring the corners of the earth for a deal on cigars.

Jason replied that to him it was a labor of love. Take this Shark for example. I paid $225 for a box of these, but I've paid as much as $400 in the past. And I've done it gladly. But given the choice, I'd rather pay the lower price, wouldn't you?

Well, my friend didn't have a lot more to say about that. But he did continue to question Jason about his odd hobby of traveling around visiting every B&M he could find. Jason replied that it wasn't like there was a website that could do the job for him.

I remember that moment like it was yesterday. My head popped up about that time and I looked at Jason. I could see the wheels turning in his head and I knew I had just started another business before another word was spoken.

ISO Arturo Fuente Cigars, How many times have we typed that into a forum post? I know personally that I've done it hundreds of times. In fact I have joked in the past that Jason has been my number one ISO problem solver for years.

The more we talked about it the more it made sense. Neither of us has ever seen anything remotely close. The first notes were scribbled on the back of the envelope my cell phone bill came in. We needed to protect people's privacy. We needed to protect the stores' identity. Most of all though, we needed to facilitate transactions between cigar smokers and the B&M's around the country.

Although we didn't write the entire business plan on that envelope, it was pretty darn close. ISOCigars.com became a reality thanks to an off-handed comment that resulted from some friends kicking back and relaxing with a good smoke and a tasty beverage.

It's just one more reason I love being a Brother of the Leaf.

We encourage you to tell us what you think about ISOCigars.com. What are we doing right? What are we doing wrong? Help us help you find your favorite cigars in a nice casual atmosphere, much like the one that spawned our site in the first place.
